Check out some of the feedback we've received about this tour:

Be it your ambition to trace the service of a relative, or a passion for history, the desires of a member of a military history tour are simple and yet of paramount importance. You will want to be well-fed and watered; well accommodated; and especially, safe and secure. But the most satisfying and rewarding aspect of your tour will be Frank Taylor’s unrivalled tour-guide knowledge of the battle grounds and campaigns of your choice. He has provided all of the above for me beyond my expectations on four occasions. I thoroughly endorse a tour with him.

-- Dr Peter Brune, military historian and author.

  • We were very happy with the tour content and the staff. The information provided was insightful and invaluable for family history. Nice to have some free time such as Brugges.
Congratulations on a tour so well organised.
  • I want to sincerely thank you for a most memorable trip. I never expected in all my days to see where Dad was and now I fully realise the extent of the battles he was in. To walk where he walked and to see the fields, the trenches and the Pill Boxes, the Menin Gate and the Menin Road, Polygon Wood and the day at Johan's and all the rest was a dream fulfilled. With many, many thanks.
  • Your main selling points of the tour to me were :
History: The Australian aspect of WW 1 conflict in Belgium and France. The details were accurate and clearly explained with commentary and diagrams.
Touring: Of the countryside villages and roads and local luncheons with local village people
Relaxation: After the tour day with drinks and food choices at good local venues.
Liked it all - learnt a lot and wetted appetite.
I would highly recommend the tour. Highly satisfied.
  • Good organisation. Very friendly and helpful staff. Superb details and information about the history every day. The lunches were very good.
I was able to appreciate much better the Australian contribution in WW1. Books present the theory; visiting the battlefields allows a much better understanding of the conditions and what happened.
I was very satisfied - well planned tour and I was happy with the operation of the programme.
  • Enjoyed the tour far more than 6 years ago with another company. Much more information, explained well and saw a lot more of the fighting areas.
    Touring arrangements were very good
  • The programme content and variety was mind blowing and done with precision! The standards of the staff could not have been better. The collective knowledge of the presenters was of a standard and with such depth that I would be surprised if any similar tours would ever be in the same league. The fine detail, intimate knowledge imparted to the client is something that sets you apart from the other "on the bus; off the bus" operators. The way information was imparted was never boring.
Amazing that after nearly 100 years there is still so much to see and that brings the whole tragic episode back to life.
Where and when is the next adventure?
